Kiff — iOS App.

Eat your food always fresh, and don't let anything go to waste.

Kiff was the first iOS app we built at Topxel. It started from a simple need at home: we kept forgetting about leftovers and opened food. More than once we found ourselves asking, "How long has this tomato can been open?" Keeping track wasn't easy. So we decided to create an app that would remember for us.

The first version focused on doing just that, keeping food visible and easy to manage, by adding items, setting reminders, and tracking freshness. The goal was never to overload the app with features, but to give it just enough to build better habits around the food in our kitchens.

It was a small launch, but what started as a personal solution for us, quickly resonated with others facing the same challenge.

Evolving Kiff

After the first launch, Kiff started to grow with its users. We listened to feedback and looked for ways to make the app easier, faster, and more useful in everyday life. That meant adding things like widgets and quick actions, simplifying forms and settings, and improving navigation with food categories, search, and ordering customization.

We built scan features with barcode support to make adding food even easier, and we introduced food consumption insights so people could better understand their habits and make more sustainable choices.

Along the way, we refreshed the app's identity with a rebrand to give Kiff a look and feel that better matched its purpose.

What started as a simple idea to avoid throwing away leftovers and opened food at our home soon evolved into a more complete companion for reducing food waste and eating food at its best.
